ULTRA PIEZO LIMB MOVEMENT SENSOR
The Ultra Piezo Limb Movement Sensor is intended for use in sleep disorders studies to measure ankle or wrist movement for monitoring or recording on a physiological recording. The sensor is designed with a low profile for patient comfort. It is suitable for use in sleep labs or home testing.
The sensor is easily attached to the ankle or wrist using latex free Coban Self-Adherent Wrap. It does not adhere to the skin, but holds the Limb Movement Sensor securely.
When the limb moves, the piezo sensor generates a small voltage signal from the "bumping" action of the limb. This voltage signal is then applied to the physiological monitoring or recording system. Since the sensor generates the voltage signal, no battery is required for operation.
The Ultra Piezo Limb Movement Sensor has a strong and flexible eleven foot long lead wire terminated with .060 inch (1.5mm) female "safety" connectors for direct connection to your headbox.
